Corporate identity is not only a “good” logo, it is about how you present yourself to the public. Maintaining a consistent identity, that allows your clients to recognize you in every graphic or digital material you create is essential, and KC Dunaj~ knows it to perfection.
KC Dunaj~ is a cultural centre located on the fourth floor of a former warehouse at the SNP Square in Bratislava. Their main asset is their program, that include live shows, club nights, literature, visual arts, theater and social events, as well as the bar and the terrace with view to the Old Town.
Their logo, font-based and including a sign ~ (referring to the river that crosses Bratislava, the Danube) is simple, recognizable and easily applicable to all their materials. But as I said before, is not only about the logo.
For each event, KC Dunaj~ features a poster to promote the event, and there is where their identity shines. Each event has its own style, they are completely different, but you can say they all belong to KC Dunaj~. Somehow they reflect the diversity that you can find there.
The opening of Dole~, a night club, is another example of how they keep their branding transversally. Using the same font and symbol for the logo, and keeping the visual identity of the programs and events, they unified both places in a way that the value that people gave to KC Dunaj~ was automatically transferred to Dole~.
That connection is something that you can see perfectly on their website, divided vertically by a wave shape (another reference to the river), creating one space for each venue. In my opinion, the content on the website could be improved with more information (and maybe an English version), but is simple and usable (and of course, responsive), and the layout is clever. The usage of grey, white and black for the content allows the images to stand out.
Ad to finish this quick review, I just wanted to draw your attention to their behaviour on Social Media. For now, they only use the most popular SM in Slovakia (Facebook and Instagram), but their pages are updated, they create and promote each event, adapting the printed design to digital format perfectly, and upload photos done by professional photographers, as well as videos. I recommend you to have a look:
